Dr. Galant was raised in, and is still an active member of the Tenafly community. He completed his undergraduate work at Bates College, and his medical education at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. He completed a 2 year podiatric surgical residency in Baltimore, MD. He is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Galant is on staff at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center and Holy Name Hospital.
Patient interaction is an important part of the practice, but one of the most rewarding things of podiatry is that in many cases if a patient walks in having pain, it can be resolved quickly, using conservative therapies.
The exciting thing about podiatry is that it is really all fields of medicine, wrapped up in a small area of the body. I enjoy dealing with pediatric patients up to the geriatric population, when it comes to things like sports medicine, foot surgery, diabetic foot care and dermatologic needs of the feet.
